This is the perfect time to start a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization because the Obama Administration believes very strongly in “social change” and supports organizations that identifies community problems and establishes programs to alleviate them successfully. The amount of federal grant funding that has been set aside for community-based initiatives is staggering. In order to apply for the grant funding, however, you must have a 501(c)(3) designation. The Nonprofit Compass guides you through the process of establishing a nonprofit organization, how to fund the organization with grants, donations, and fundraisers, and how to manage the organization (personnel, legal, and accounting issues).
If you prefer to discuss your service needs privately, The Nonprofit Compass also provides private 90-minute consultations to assess your needs adequately. After this initial meeting, you can choose from three different levels of consultation services that will meet your needs. Click here for details.
